Her pale skin and strawberry-blonde hair are set off by piercing blue eyes and lush pink lips. Her curves are generous, and she almost reaches 5'10 in flats, sometimes 6 feet when she wears heels Her war form consists of large cougar-shaped paws, tipped with 5 deadly claws, and sharp, elongated teeth. Under the surface, her spine becomes more flexible, as the cougar's is naturally, allowing her to twist and bear her enemies to the ground. As a cougar, Tessa is larger than most normal males, standing 3 ft tall at the shoulders and measuring 10 ft long from nose to tail. Her coat is tawny with a slight reddish cast to it, and her eyes retain their brilliant blue color, something usually only cubs have. Personality: To those who don't know her, Tessa can appear to be very cold, and very put together. Passing people on the streets, she's not one to smile and wave at everyone that passes by. If she chooses to acknowledge someone, it's usually with a small, tight smile or a nod. In large groups of people, she's a polite listener, though she keeps a running commentary in her head about how uneducated or uncouth the person speaking is, to keep her sanity. Only those who she lets in to her inner sanctum realize just how worked up she can get sometimes, even more so in the last ten years. She's started to re-evaluate every choice she's ever made, and some of what she's learning has changed parts of her irrevocably. To those she knew before then, she still has the playful personality she always did, but it's been tempered now with a caution she never had. Some things just never go away, though, and Tessa still has a large sense of pride in where she comes from and what she can do. Helena, also a werecougar, raised her daughter the best she knew how, imparting upon her everything she knew and then sending her off at 18 to start her own life. And Tess did just that, moving to New York City and finding her passion. While there, she caught the eye of a young military student, in Manhattan during a long weekend off from West Point. Anthony Warren was handsome, assured, and he swept Tessa off her feet in no time. The two spent the entire weekend joined at the hip, and each made trips to see the other on the weekends. Graduating a few months after they met, Tony proposed to Tessa directly after the ceremony. Their wedded life was blissful, if a little unstable. As Tony moved up the ranks, they moved from city to city, never settling down for more than 4 years. Tessa did her best to hide her true nature from her husband, and those around them. Luckily, most places they moved didn't seem to find the presence of a cougar in the woods or mountains all that startling. They endured several early miscarriages before Tessa became pregnant and it took. Every full moon of the pregnancy, she feared for the life of their unborn child, but came to term with no mishaps. Both Tony and Tessa were hopeful that this would be a boy to follow in Tony's footsteps. Then, Jade Anna was born. Despite the keen disappointment of Jade not being born a boy, Tessa loved being a mother. Jade was a very agreeable and happy baby, and Tessa had faith that soon she'd start changing, and they could share everything. But, that never happened. Pulling together, she dealt with that loss as well, until Tony started to think about a career in politics. Skirt suits. Pastels. Smiling at dignitaries and making nice with everyone. It was Tessa's worst nightmare. Coupled with raising a human baby, always hiding herself in every single aspect of life, it was unbearable. When Jade was three, Tessa kissed her good bye and went to the grocery, never to return. Wandering for a few years, Tessa found herself in Los Angeles, where cougars were far from unheard of. Changing her name back to her maiden Walsh, she began working in the music scene, producing tracks for some of the Top-40 hits, and then branching out into independent artists. Always in the back of her mind, though, was the little girl she'd left behind. Did she like the song du jour? Did she miss her mother? Was Tony being good to her was never a question. She knew he had a kind heart, and loved Jade. That was what kept her from them, the knowledge that Tony would never let anything untoward happen to their little girl. But even this life proved to be too full of false niceties and friendships, leading Tessa to abandon the career at her highest point of popularity and seek out a small town to live for a while in ambiguity. A fellow were, a wolf, suggested Mysteria to her, citing his trip through a few years ago and endorsing it as a place where she could hide. So she closed up her shop, sold the house, and began her journey. So far, se's been keeping in her cougar form, scoping out the area first. Flaws: Silver allergy- Like others of her kind, Tessa is allergic to silver. Which is a shame, as she prefers it to gold. Pride- Tessa's pride is one of her biggest flaws, something she's coming to learn as she re-evaluates the choices she's made in her lifetime. Calculating- Able to distance herself from situations in which she ought to be passionately involved, Tessa calculates her moves in a way that seems cold to others but makes perfect sense to her either in the present, or the future. Merits: Entertainment Ties- Tessa's worked with some of the biggest names in music and movies during her stint as a music producer. Grace/Balance- Tessa has a grace of movement that sometimes makes people stop in their tracks. She's lovely on the ballroom floor, as well as out and about.
